Megan is a writer, journalist, and Juris Doctor candidate based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, but—first and foremost—she is a Westerner. Currently she manages the Natural Nevada page.
Growing up in the high deserts of northern Nevada, with the eastern Sierra and Lake Tahoe as her backyard, Megan has spent much of her life camping, hiking, swimming, skiing, snowboarding, and exploring through the mountains as well as desert. A self-taught photographer and an academic writer, she combines her love of the outdoors and the American West with her passion for words and photos by telling stories about humans and the environments in which they live.
Currently, she is in her second year of law school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and plans to focus her career on public lands and water rights. When she isn’t in the law library or hiking through the wilderness, she enjoys hot springing, good music, good brews, good books, and good people.
